Alice May Austin, 76, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at Morgan Manor Convalescent Center.
She was born Oct. 1, 1924, in Grafton, daughter of the late J.W. and Dessie Shaffer Austin. She was a homemaker and Methodist.
She is survived by a sister, Martha Shreve, of California. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Paul Austin, Lawrence Austin, Alfred Austin and Hector Austin; and two sisters, Mary Austin Armstrong and Rose Austin.
Private graveside service and burial will be at the Bluemont Cemetery at the convenience of the family, with the Rev. Sarah Lee officiating. Bartlett Funeral Home, 202 McGraw Ave., Grafton, is in charge of arrangements.
