James Thomas Borden

James Thomas (Jimmy) Borden 75, of 2221 Morgan Ave. SW, died in Decatur General Hospital Wednesday at 7:55 p.m. after being a patient there for three days.

Mr. Borden was a former resident of Lawrence and Franklin Counties but had lived in Morgan County for 17 years. He suffered a cerebral hemorrhage Monday whille working in his garden.

He is survived by his widow; five daughters, Mrs. Lillian McCaghren, Danville 2; Mrs. Ila Swindell, Sunnyside, Wash; Mrs. Lyda Waugh, Decatur; Mrs. Ollie Mae Stewart, Miami, Fla; and Mrs. Zella Strickland of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla; four sons, Elvin Borden of Winter Garden, Fla; Milton of Sunnyside, Wash; and Edward and Alton, both of Dectur; one sister, Mrs. Lindy Chaney, of Russellville; 29 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The body is to remain at Brown Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral arrangements will be announced.
