Funeral services for Lou Ella Borden, 103, a resident of Medical Park Convalescent Center in Decatur, were conducted Sunday, January 22, at 2:30 p.m. at Brown Service Funeral Home in Decatur with the Rev. E.T. Waddell officiating.
Burial was in Roselawn Gardens of Memory with Brown Service Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Borden died Friday, January 20, at Medical Park Convalescent Center where she resided for 19 years. She was a member of the Baptist denomination for 80 years.
She is survived by two sons, Alton Borden of Decatur and Edward Borden of Trinity; five daughters, Lillian McCaghren of Danville, Ila Swindell of Kalama, Wash., Lyda Hall of Decatur, Mae Church of Eustis, Fla., and Zella Strickland of Ocoee, Fla.; 28 grandchildren; 76 great grandchildren; and 43 great great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
