Burton was a lumber mill man and avid gardener. He became Ill early in the 1950's but worked in his garden and grew vegetables and beautiful flowers. He was respected by his children and a favorite of his nieces.

22, 1976. at Rome Murphy
Memorial Hospital, Rome.
He had been a sawmill sawyer
for many years in the War
rensburg area retiring in 1956.
Survivors include his wife,
Eva; two sons, eight daughters,
three brothers, LeRoy of South
Carolina, Willis of Houston,
Tex., and Martin J. of South
Glens Falls; two sisters, Mrs.
Olive Finkle of Pleasant Valley
and Mrs. Stanley (Loretta)
Lackey of Glens Falls; 24 grandc
h i l d r e n ; 11 g r e a t grandchildren,
and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday
at the Maynard D. Baker
Funeral Home, 114 Main St.,
Warrensburg. Rev. Robert
Creech, pastor of the Church of
the Holy Cross, will officiate.
Interment will be in West Fort
Ann Cemetery
Friends may call from 6 to 9
p.m. Thursday at the funeral
home.
