After leaving Fort Ann NY, the family moved to Duchess Co. NY.
In 1928 Eva May had a store and post office in Pawling, New York. People from New York City came to the area every summer and bought the goods and receive the mail from this little store. The children all worked there delivering to the visitors, and making extra money. One man named Frank was an artist. He painted several pictures of Eva May's children. The store burned and the family moved to Glens Falls, New York.[ U.S., Appointments of U. S. Postmasters, 1832-1971 vol 97] Nov 1927 to 14 June 1930.

of 64 Boulevard,at the home of her son Martin J. Hamblin following a short illness.Besides her husband, Raymond D. Hamblin, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Earl Finkle, Poughkeepie, Mrs. Arthur Vickers South Glens Falls. Mrs Raymond Malaney of Glens Falls And Loretta Hamblin; four-sons, Burton, Warrensburgh; Sgt. LeRoy, US Army; Willis, Jackson, Miss„ and Martin of Kingston; a brother, Starr Bartow of Bethel, Conn., and 20 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from the Henry J. Brack Funeral Home, 27 Smith avenue. Wednesday afternoon
at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Wiltwyck Rural Cemetery.
