ELOY — Frankie Awbrey McGee, 88, of Eloy died May 8, 2000 in Casa Grande.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Valley Funeral Home. The funeral there will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Jim Mumme officiating. Burial will be in Eloy Memorial Park.

Mrs. McGee was born Sept. 8, 1911 in Sayre, Okla. She lived in the area for 60 years after moving from New Mexico. She was a homemaker and also worked as a housemother for 14 years at the Arizona Training Program at Coolidge. She was active in Toltec Ladies Club and Eloy Adult Center.

Survivors include four daughters, Cherry Burchett, Jonnie Buchanan and Etta Ruth Amerson, of Eloy and Lela May Staats, of California; four sons, R.C. Awbrey, of Idaho, Charles D. and Kenneth W. Awbrey, of Eloy and Frank Awbrey, of Flagstaff; 23 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
