The celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fountains of Living Waters Church (the old Liz Claiborne building at the outlet center).
Mr. Awbrey was born on Dec. 29, 1944, in Casa Grande and was a son of Roy C. Awbrey and Frankie Mae LaCasse. He served in the Army, including two tours in Vietnam. He was a plumber, working at Rankin Plumbing, and a handyman.
Survivors include a son, Rene Awbrey, of Post Falls, ID; three brothers, R.C. Awbrey, of Washington, Frank Awbrey, of Flagstaff and Kenneth Awbrey, of Eloy; three sisters, Cherry Burchett and Etta Ruth Amerson, of Eloy and Jonnie Buchanan, of Cave Creek; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Lela Mae Staats.
