J. Harry Bender
J. Harry Bender, 110 Brandywine Avenue, Downingtown, died early this morning in the Memorial Hospital, West Chester. He was 77. He had been in failing health for the past six months.
Born at Harmony Hill, he was the son of the late John H. and Matilda Kinear Bender and resided most of his life in Downingtown.
He had been an employe of the Downingtown Paper Co. for 53 years.
Mr. Bender retired six years ago. He was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church of Downingtown, also the Minquas Fire Co.
Surviving are two brothers, Warren L., of Downingtown, and Clifton J., of Bryn Mawr, and a niece with whom he resided, Mrs. Eleanor Detterline, of Downingtown.
