Lee W. Pfost, 57, Dies Following Short Illness

Lee W. Pfost, 57, former Boise city street commissioner, died at a Boise hospital Wednesday after a brief illness.

He was born in Boise May 7, 1880, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Isaac W. Pfost, who crossed the plains and arrived in Boise valley July 14, 1878. The family lived near Meridian for a number of years.

Mr. Pfost is survived by two daughters, Mrs. La Verne Craig of Boise and Mrs. Verla Fernau of Los Angeles; a brother, Emmitt Pfost, former state commissioner of law enforcement; a sister, Mrs. Effie Burns of Boise, and three grandchildren.

He was a member of the Sons and Daughters of Idaho.

The body is at the Summers mortuary. Funeral arrangements have not been made.
