Bertha M. Lennon, 88, of Gladwin, died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2001 at Durand Convalescence Center. Born Nov. 17, 1912, in Detroit, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth Schranz. Bertha married Stephen Lennon, July 2, 1932 in Gladwin. He preceded her in death in April 1969. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two sons, Leonard James and wife Mary of Littleton, Colo., and Larry C. and wife Dianne of Coon Rapids, Minn.; one daughter, Janet and husband Thomas Sharp of Owosso; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Rev. Timothy Verity officiating. Burial was in Highland Cemetery. Sisson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
