ALBERT J. SCHRANZ

Albert J. Schranz, 85, of Gaylord and formerly of Gladwin, died Sunday, May 12, 1996 at Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord.

Born June 5, 1910 in Detroit, he moved to Gladwin following his service in the U.S. Army during World War II. While in Gladwin, he was employed by Wickes Lumber until 1959 when he was transferred to the Gaylord store. Mr. Schranz was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and retired in 1975.

He is survived by 2 sisters, Bertha Lennon and Josephine Behnke; one brother, Walter Schranz; 3 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 19 from the Trinity Lutheran Church in Gaylord. The Rev. James Haenftling will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Otsego Area Hospice through the Nelson Funeral Home, 135 N. Center St., Gaylord, Mich. 49735. Gladwin County Record dated 5-15/1996
