Mrs. Ora M. Barr of York, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, December 7 at Fairview Manor in Fairmont, Nebraska. She was born November 26, 1891, near Iberia, Missouri, the daughter of Richard M. and Mary Alice (Burks) Livingston. She attended school near Iberia and moved to Nebraska in 1919.
On October 1920, she married Guy A. Barr. The couple farmed in the York area and in 1955 retired and moved to York. She had been a resident at Fairview since April.
Survivors include a son, Guy J. Barr of York, six grandchildren, three brothers, Robert L. Livingston, Iberia, Mo., John Livingston, Fort Myers, Florida, Stanley
Livingston, Eldon, Mo., three sisters, Mrs. G.A. (Clarice) Berry, Tuscumbia, Mo., Mrs. Nettie Mace, Seattle, Wash., Mrs. L.V. (Hazel) Woody, St. Louis, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, parents, a brother, Roy
Livingston and a grandson.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at East Hill Church of Christ with Joe Alley and Mabrey Miller officiating. Burial was in York Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of York Memorial Chapel. Those attending services were Mrs. Berry, Mary Jo Tyler, Conley Berry and John W. Livingston.
