Simon Kern
Simon Kern, 78, died Saturday morning after a lingering illness. He was born in the town of New Berlin, May 3, 1853, and spent the early part of his life there.
He was married to Catherine Graser, Mar. 8, 1880 and lived on a farm in the town of Pewaukee for 19 years. They later moved to Waukesha where he spent the remainder of his life.
He is survived by his wife, two children; Mrs. William Zimdars and Mrs. Adolph Hein; two grandsons, Earl Hein and Harvey Zimdars.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 o'clock at the residence and at 2:30 from the First Reformed church. Interment will be in Prairie Home cemetery, Rev. H. S. Settlage officiating.
