LaRose, age 101, passed away just ten days before her 102nd birthday. Hazel was born on November 6, 1906, in Albion, IA and left us on Tuesday, October 28, 2008, in Wenatchee. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband, Albert LaRose; her son, Richard LaRose; grandsons, Michael and Robert; parents, Alva and Martha Avey; sister, Ethel (Avey) Love; brothers, Clifford Avey, Robert Ted Avey, Mantle Avey, Dallas Avey, Albert Buck Avey and Dan Avey; and her best buddy, Norm Wallace. She is survived by her sister, Thelma Widmer; her daughter-in-law, Rita LaRose; her granddaughter, Kay LaRose; her niece and caregiver, Dixie Wallace and family; numerous nieces and nephews; and her many friends at Hearthstone Cottage.

A Celebration of Hazel's Life was held on Thursday, October 30, 2008. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
