Mr. Avey was 82 years of age at the time of his death. He had lived at Peshastin since 1919. Surviving are 6 sons, 3 daughters, 83 grandchildren and 2 brothers. Funeral services for Mr. Avey were conducted on Saturday morning at the Peshastin United Community church with the Rev. Robert Miller officiating. Burial took place in the Old Leavenworth cemetery.
