She was a 1932 graduate of the Pleasant Lawn High School. She worked at Kennedy's Dairy for several years and retired after 13 years from Metromail Inc. at Mount Pleasant. She was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society, and Women of the Moose at Mount Pleasant.
Edith was survived by her husband; her daughters Margaret Cimeley of Paducah, Kentucky, and Nancy Longwell of Mount Pleasant; one brother Thomas Hoover of San Diego, California; one sister Pauline Morrow of Mount Pleasant; and five grandchildren.
Her funeral mass was held at 2:30 p.m. on April 27th at the St. Alphonsus Church in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Thomas Spiegel officiating. Burial was in Forest Home Cemetery.
