George Albert Meriwether, 80, 1820 Old Government St., Mobile, and a former resident of Montgomery, died Friday afternoon in a Mobile infirmary after an extended illness. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday from Dauphin Way Methodist Church from Radney Funeral Home directing.

Survivors include his widow, Maude B. Meriwether; one son, A. B. Meriwether; two sisters, Mrs. Marshall S. Green, Mrs. Allen Poindexter, Jr.; one brother, Gordon K. Meriwether, Montgomery; three grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
