Mrs. R. S. Meriwether Dies At Hospital Here


Mrs. R. S. Meriwether, 10 College Court, a resident of Montgomery for 40 years, died at a hospital here at 8:55 Monday after a short illness. She was a member of the Dexter Avenue Methodist Church.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Marshall S. Green and Mrs. Allen A. Poindexter, Montgomery, and Mrs. A. A. Williams, Fort Deposit; five sons, Joe F. Meriwether and Gordon K. Meriwether, Montgomery, G. A. Meriwether, Robert S. Meriwether, and James H. Meriwether, Mobile; two sisters, Mrs. Nina Rouse, Montgomery, and Mrs. Emmie Deer, Greenville; 22 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
