BOLIVIA - Mr. Charles Frank Lennon, age 79, 0f Bolivia, died Sunday, December 27, 1998, at J.A. Dosher Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Lennon was born in Brunswick County, April 3, 1919, and was the son of the late Joseph O. and Lucy Robbins Lennon. Mr. Lennon was a charter member of Supply Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher and a choir member. He retired from Canal Wood in 1984 after 37 years of employment.
He is survived by his wife, Muriel D. Lennon of the home; a brother, Clarence Lennon of Bolivia: four sisters, Lucy Margaret Banks of Wilmington, Carrie Moore of Concord, NC, Delphia Harris of Fayetteville, NC, and Glenn Wilson of Rocky Point, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 30, 1998, at 2 p.m. at Supply Baptist Church, with Reverend Bill McNeill officiating.
Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Gardens, Shallotte.
Active pallbearers will be Tolman Lennon, Charles Lennon, Jimmy Clemmons, Raybon Moore, Matthew Lennon and Toby Lennon.
Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Supply Baptist Church and the retirees of Canal Wood.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 this evening at Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service, Supply Chapel, and other times from the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice, PO Box 1926, Shallotte, NC 28459 or to Supply Baptist Church, PO Box 15, Supply, NC 28462.
