Bertha M Mason, 80, of Tamaroa, died at 7:25 p.m. Thursday in the Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin.
She was born on June 22, 1903 in Perry County to Abraham and Polly (Loucks) Meese.
She married George Lively on July 12, 1922. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1945. In May, 1954, she married Malcolm Mason, who preceded her in death Dec. 30, 1967.
Survivors include the following sons and daughters: Ruth Hill of Tamaroa, Eva Conner of Du Quoin, George Lively Jr. of Tamaroa, Helen Arnold of New Waverly, Texas, Richard Lively of Tamaroa, Mary Thomas of Dobey, Kans., Hazel Kotel of Hoffman Estes, Ill.; 30 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren. One grandson also preceded her in death. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Searby Funeral Home, Tamaroa. Burial will be in the Tamaroa Cemetery.
