"John W. Valentine, 89, 200 East Chestnut Street, Hanover, died Sunday morning at 1 o'clock from a complication of diseases. He was a son of the late John and Josephine (Rodenzef) Valentine. Surviving are four children, Mrs. Edward Miller, Taneytown, Maryland; Frank C. Valentine, New Oxford; Mrs. Estella Harner, Baltimore Street, and Miss Leah Valentine, at home; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with a private service at the late home. Interment in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, near Littlestown."
