Campobello, SC - Ruth Clayton Clary died Sunday, Nov. 22, 1970 in a Spartanburg hospital at 5:50 p.m. following a lenghty illness. Lifelong resident of Holly Springs Community in Upper Spartanburg County, SC and daughter of Simon and Maude Johnson Clayton and wife of Frederick D. Clary. Member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and a former teacher at Campobello Elementary School. Interment was in the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors included: a step-daughter, two step-sons, five brothers, a sister and nine grandchildren. She was 58 years of age at her demise.
