Campobello -BASCO PEARSON CLAYTON, 78, 0f 400 Mill Gin Road, died Jan. 12, 1995, at his home. A native of Spartanburg County, he was the widower of VIVIAN T. BAILEY CLAYTON and son of the late SIMON PETER "S. P." and MAUDE JOHNSON CLAYTON. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church and the owner and operator of the Clark Oil and Gas Station. He was a U. S. Army veteran of WW II. Survivors include one daughter, BRENDA FELSNER of Duncan; one son, PHILLIP W. CLAYTON of Holly Springs; two brothers, PAUL CLAYTON of Spartanburg, and LEON CLAYTON of Holly Springs; one sister, DELLA MAE NEIGHBORS of Spartanburg; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 tonight at the Wood Mortuary, in Greer, SC. Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. J. WAYNE LEVAN. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Sunday. The family is at the home.
