Campobello - GERALL GRANDVILLE CLAYTON, 66, of 1410 Holly Springs Church Raod, died Sep. 8, 1990, in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center after several months illness. A native of Spartanburg County, he was the husband of LUCILLE BABB CLAYTON and son ot the late SIMON and MAUDE JOHNSON CLAYTON. He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and teacher of the Adult Sunday School Class. He was a retired salesman with World of Carpet in Tryon, NC and a World War II Navy veteran. Also surviving are three daughters, MARTHA ALLEN of Spartanburg, GERALDINE UNDERWOOD of Campobello and GAIL SEASTRUNK of Inman; four brothers, PAUL CLAYTON of Spartanburg, BASCO CLAYTON of Duncan, MACK CLAYTON of Wichita, Kansas, and LEON CLAYTON of Campobello; a sister, DELLA MAE NEIGHBORS of Spartanburg; and three grandchildren. Services were held at 3 p. m. Monday at the Holly Springs Baptist Church by the Revs. CALVIN TURNER, WAYNE LEVAN and JAMES CROCKER. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Hospice, c/o Spartanburg Regional medical Center, 101 E. Wood St., Spartanburg, SC, 29303. Wood Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
