PIONEER WOMAN DIES SURVIVED BY 167 CHILDREN
Death has taken from the Big Horn Basin one of its most interesting lives. For forty years Mrs. Weltha M. Lynn lived in the Shoshone Valley and had been in reasonably good health all that time to reach the age of 91 years. She died on Thrusday of last week at her home in Lovell and up to this fatal sick spell of a week had ever been active in her daily duties.
Mrs. Lynn came to northwestern Wyoming from Bountiful, Utah, where she was born September 15, 1855. She and her husband Rosmus Lynn lived together to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, and she continued to live on for 13 years after his death.
Among the survivors of Grandma Lynn, whose largely attended funeral was held at Lovell last Saturday, are 56 grandchildren, 96 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.
In her immediate family she is survived by four sons and one daughter, namely: I.W. Lynn, Charles Samuel Lynn, Orvel Lynn, Orin Chris Lynn and daughter Mrs. Estella Doerr.
Grandma Lynn's large relationship grew beyond the confines of her Lovell home community. In and about Powell and Mantua we find three grandsons, Ivan Lynn, Herman Lynn and Larmar Lynn, two great granddaughters, Mrs. Floyd Baird and Mrs. Carl Miller.
The L.D.S funeral service at Lovell was conducted in the Lovell Ward Mormon chapel with Bishop Ervin Lynn, her grandson in charge.
