MRS. JULIA H. WORKMAN DIES IN SALT LAKE CITY

Mrs. Julia Hatch Workman, 81, wife of Abram Smith Workman, 525 Ninth Street, died Friday at 3 a.m. at her home of causes incident to age. She was born August 11, 1861 in Parleys Park, a daughter of Meltiar and Mary All Ellis Hatch. She was married to Mr. Workman on June 5, 1879. Mrs. Workman had been active in the LDS Church and for 12 years served as a worker in the Salt Lake Temple. She was also active for many years in the Hatch ward. Besides her husband, surviving are two sons and four daughters, Meltiar H. and John C. Workman, Mrs. Mary C. Workman and Mrs. Millie Erickson of Salt Lake City; Mrs. Clara B. Lee of Holbrook, Arizona, Mrs. Lydia Billings of Provo, 50 grandchildren, 65 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great-grandchildren and seven sisters, Mrs. Wealthy Lynn, Mrs. Harriet Assay, Mrs. Myra Assay and Mrs. Rhoana Sawyer of Hatch, Mrs. Laura Barnhurst of Syracuse and Mrs. Mary Burrows of Springville. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 1 p.m. at 36 East Seventh South Street by Sheldon R. Brewster. Burial was in the Salt Lake cemetery.
