Mrs. Hattie Landacre,wife of J. E. Landacre, died at 1:55 oclock Tuesday afternoon in Auburn, Ind.,death being due to childbirth. Mother and child both died. Mrs. Landacre was 18 years old March 31. Her maiden name was Hattie Nihiser and she was the daughter of Louis Nihiser, formerly of Dalton City, now of Defiance, Ohio.
She married to J.E. Landacre on Christmas day, 1912. They moved to Defiance, Ohio, In February, 1913 from there to Garrett, Ind. and then to Auburn, Ind., last week.
Besides the husband, she leaves her father, Louis Nihiser, Defiance, Ohio,four brothers and one sister, one half sister and three half brothers.
The body arrived in Decatur Thursday morning and was taken to Dawsons chapel and from there to Mt. Zion where the funeral was conducted at 2 oclock Thursday afternoon in the Presbyterian church. Burial was in the Mt. Zion cemetery. Rev. Longenbaugh of Dalton City presided.
