This morning at 9:35 oclock Mrs. Ida M Griffen of 230 East Tenth Street, widow of Joseph C Griffin passed away in the Clearfield Hospital after several weeks of illness with a complication of diseases. Recently Mrs. Griffin submitted to the amputation of a limb and since then her condition has gradually grew worse until she was called to eternal rest this morning. Mrs. Ida Griffin was a daughter of Christian Albright (deceased) and Mrs. Mary Albright. She was born in Tyrone October 9 1870 and lived there all her life. On June 19 1895 she was united in marriage to Joseph C Griffin who proceeded her to the grave a number of years ago. Surviving her passage are these sons and daughters Paul F Griffin, Misses Ruth, Myra and Florence Griffin, Morgan C Griffin, of Tyrone and Miss Eleanor Griffin of Tyrone, and Mrs. Margaret Price of Altoona. Five grandchildren, her mother Mrs. Mary Albright who is 89 years old and these brothers and sisters Frank G Albright of Tyrone, Sister Anna Albright Baltimore, Maryland, Walter S Albright and Fred J Albrigth of Altoona, and Mrs. Mary Krebbs of San Obispo, California. Mrs. Griffin was a wonderful mother. She was loving and devoted to her family and a woman of sincere Christian faith and an active member of the First Lutheran Church. She was also an active member of the Ladies Aid Society of the church. In her going away the church has lost the guiding hand, one that was always pointing to things that were good noble and true. The Church has lost one of its active workers and the community one of its best citizens. Funeral services will be conducted at the home East tenth Street on Friday afternoon at 2:30 oclock by her Pastor Rev Edward M Morgan, Internment in Grandview Cemetery.
