Christian was born in Wurttemberg, Gemany to John and Susan Kinsbaugh Albright. He was a shoemaker by trade and emigrated to America in 1855. Christian married Mary Fry on December 25 1860. The couple raised a family of eleven children. He was a prominent businessman and politician in the Democratic Party in Tyrone and a member of the Lutheran Church. Christian died of pnemonia in 1890.
