Julia R. Woitalla, a resident of Harding, MN, died April 23, 2002, at St. Gabriel's Hospital in Little Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial was held April 26 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Harding with Father Roger Thoennes officiating. Burial was in the parish cemetery.

Julia R. Woitalla was born April 12, 1912, in Wells, MN, to the late Demitrius and Julia (Reese) Gallek. Julia lived in Little Falls for 17 years, then moved to the Harding area in 1953. She met and married Adam Woitalla. Together, they farmed for many years. She was a member of Holy Name Rosary Sodality.

Julia is survived by four sons, Jerome DeLong of Minneapolis, Donald DeLong of Minneapolis, Joe DeLong and wife Debbie of St. Paul and Tony DeLong of Harding; three daughters, Dorothy Ginter and husband Louie of Little Falls, Joann Woitalla of Mille Lacs and Mary Jane of Anoka; two stepdaughters, Jean Meiers and husband Henry of St. Paul and Joan of Minneapolis; two sisters, Cora Gross of Harding and May Gross and husband Roman of Harding; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Woitalla; one son, Richard DeLong; parents; four brothers, Alex, Walter, Joe and Bill Gallek; and two sisters, Peggy Glassmann and Marie Steele.

Honorary bearers were Rosary Sodality members - Louise Schubert, Helen Malisheske, Gloria Woitalla, Julia Janson, Josephine Kainz and Dorothy Skwira. Casketbearers were Gordy Ginter, Larry Woitalla, Bruce Sauer, Dickie DeLong, Jr., Gary Steele and Joseph Domboski, Jr.
