Tristrim Bethea Braddy was born on February 19 1828, the son of John Braddy and Martha Pattie Bethea.

About 1850 he married bride Catherine Jane McKinnon, who was the daughter of R Daniel McKinnon and Ella Reaves.

When he was 33 in 1861 the Civil War began, and he enlisted as a Private, in Company B, 3rd South Carolina State Troops of the Confederate States Army, (CSA) for 6 months.

He was the brother of fellow Confederate soldiers Lewton Capers Braddy, William Wightman Braddy (wife E.A.), and Robert Bruce (Flora Ann McKay) Braddy.

Tristram and Catherine were parents of: John Braddy 1850-65, Daniel Braddy 1853-1914, Robert A Braddy 1856-1899, Alice 1856-ukn, Aldolpho 1857-ukn, Lewton Capers Braddy 1859-1929.

He was widowed in 1865 when wife Cathrine died, reasons unknown.

His second and final marriage was in 1865 or 66 to bride Anna Nichols.

Tistram and Anna were parents of the following known children: Lucy Lillian 1864-1865, infant girl 1866-1867, Oscar Nichols Braddy 1868-1931.

He was 53 years old when died November 23 1881 leaving Anna a widow who never remarried and lived another 30 years. Tristram Braddy is buried in Sweet Swamp Cemetery in Dillon county South Carolina.
