John Braddy was born February 14th 1850 in Dillon county South Carolina the first known born child and son of Tristrim Bethea Braddy and Catheren Jane McKinnon, and older brother of Daniel, Robert, Lewton and Lucy Braddy. He died, (reasons unknown), when just 15 years of age, on November 14th of 1865. He is buried in the Braddy family plot in Sweet Swamp Cemetery in Dillon county South Carolina.
