Mrs. Emma (Duesterhoeft) Heft, 86, a resident at Chilton Village, a nursing home in Chilton, died Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 28, at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, where she had been a patient since Sunday.

She formerly lived at 1500 Wisconsin Ave., New Holstein.
She was born Jan. 26, 1891, in Breman, Ind., a daughter of August and Henrietta Lerche Mentzel. The family moved to Wisconsin when she was 13 and she attended Chilton area schools. On Nov. 24, 1908 she was married to Mr. Heft in Chilton. He died June 11, 1967.

Survivors include a son, Arthur, New Holstein; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl Bostian, New Holstein; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and three half-sisters, Mrs. Laura Hardy and Mrs. Sarah Zillmer, both of Bremen, Ind., and Mrs. Hazel Berger, Osceola, Ind.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Erve-Evjen Funeral home, New Holstein, the Rev. Albert K. Borns, pastor of St. John United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in the New Holstein Cemetery.
