Services for Chip Forest Lewis, 67, who died at the hospital in Hayti, June 11th were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Braggadocio Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Luttrell and the Rev. A.C. Gardner officiating. Burial was in the Maple Cemetery with H.S. Smith Funeral Home of Caruthersville in charge of arrangements.
He was born Feb. 26th, 1910 in Braggadocio, the son of the late T.C. (Tom) and Nancy A. Lewis. He graduated from Braggadocio High School in 1928.
On Sept. 4th, 1934 in Blytheville, Ark., he married Miss Oma Marie Kindred. He was a farmer before retiring and was a member of the Braggadocio Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Hayti; one daughter, Mrs. John Alford of Micola; two granddaughters; Miss RaRe Alford and Miss Christie Alford of Micola; one brother, one sister.
