On July 28th, 1890, she was married to Mr. Lewis and was residing in this county at that time, having moved here with her parents when a small child. To this union was born three sons, Miles B. Lewis, Clay Lewis, Chip Lewis, all of Braggadocio, and two daughters, Mrs. Luther Curtner, Braggadocio, and Mrs. Albert Brent of Memphis. One son, Charles, preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lewis had been a member of the Baptist church for about forty years, and was prominent in civic circles in her community.
Funeral services were held at the First Baptist church at Braggadocio Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Jordon, with interment following at Maple cemetery in this city.
Besides her husband and above named children, she is survived by ten grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Ida Huckaba, Mrs. Rhoda Huffman and Mrs. Eva Long, all of Braggadocio, and two brothers, Messrs. W.W. Phillips, Braggadocio, and Jack Phillips, Hayti.

Funeral services were held for Mrs. T.C. Lewis Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Lewis died at her home Monday at ten o'clock. She was sick about nine days, being stricken with paralysis last Friday, from which time she grew worse until death claimed her. A host of friends and relatives in this place and elsewhere mourn her passing.
