Jennie was the daughter of John Murray and Elizabeth Patience Birckhead. She married Jesse Lee Linn 14 Sep 1875 in Warren Township, Lucas County, Iowa. She had 7 children: Deette Patience (1876-1949); John Lee (1878-1958); Clarissa May (1880-1923); Lillian Maude (1882-1974); Addaline Lucetta (1884-1982); Jessie D. "Son" (1886-1915); and Violet Elizabeth (1888-1914). Jennie died from blood poisoning.

Jesse married shortly after and moved with his 2nd wife and 5 of the children to Wyoming. Deette was married and living in Iowa and Clarissa May went to live with her Murray Grandparents in Iowa. Jesse married 4 times, outliving everyone of them, and had a total of 14 children.
