JOANNA VOSE
---Mrs. Joanna Vose, sixty-one, wife of Frank D. Vose, died at her home west of La Plata, Sunday morning following an illness of several months.
---Mrs. Vose, nee Joanna Eliza Tucker, was a daughter of Harlan and Mary Tucker, born July 11, 1874 in Athens County, Ohio. She came to Missouri with her parents when a small child and was married November 17, 1895 to Frank D. Vose. To them were born three children.
---Mrs. Vose united with the Chariton Grove Baptist Church on December 8, 1889, when fifteen, later moving her membership to the La Plata Baptist Church.
---Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Edna Miller, La Plata, Miss Hazel Vose at the family home, one son, Foster Vose, La Plata; two grandchildren, Margie Gale Miller and Larry Duane Vose; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Smith, Excello, Mrs. Ida Woods, La Plata and Mrs. Bertha Keithley of Gifford; four brothers, W.Z. Tucker, J.M. Tucker, Ray H. Tucker and Earl Tucker, all of La Plata.
---Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 at the Baptist Church, here, conducted by Rev. R.R. Watts of Pattonsburg, a former pastor here. Burial was made in the La Plata cemetery.
