Rites Are Held For Hick L. Hunt
Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon in Immanuel Baptist church for Hick L. Hunt, a retired city employee. He died suddenly Monday afternoon at his home at 505 East Benton.
Rev. Jim House and Rev. Reggie Creekmore officiated at the services. Interment was in the Green Hill cemetery under the direction of Bahner Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Randy Moore, Foster Thomas, Ralph Coppenbarger, Sam Roady, Bennie Atchley and Kenneth Carter.
Hunt was born June 22, 1899, at Bastrop, Tex., and moved to Davis in 1904.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lela Hunt of the home, two daughters, Mrs. Peggy Jo Meador of Davis, and Mrs. Mary Marlene Connoly of Texhoma, Okla.; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Brassfield and Mrs. Fannie Kelly, both of Ada, and Mrs. Lorene Hunt of Oklahoma City; one brother, Steve Hunt of Oklahoma City; and eight grandchildren.
