WEST RITES HELD MONDAY

Services for Alice Belle West, 71, who died March 6, were held Monday, March 9, at 2 p.m. in the Freewill Baptist church, Sulphur, with Rev. A. L. McAffrey and Rev. Jim House officiating. Interment was in Green Hill cemetery, Davis, with Bahner Funeral Home, Sulphur, directing.

Pallbearers were Clarence Leming, Corbutt Higgins, Onis Palmer, Bob Seward, Bob Mobley, and Orvil Priddy.

Mrs. West, born Dec. 21, 1892 in Texas, Moved to Sulphur 23 years ago from Davis. Her death culminated an illness of two years. She was a member of the First Freewill Baptist church, Red Oak H. D. club and of the Women's auxiliary. Her husband Jim Frank West, preceded her in death in 1951, as did a son, Cecil West, in 1919.

Survivors are six daughters, including Mrs. Ella Mae Stout, Sulphur; one son, John West, Sulphur; five sisters including Mrs. Josie West and Mrs. Cora Clemmings of Davis; three brothers including Leon Hunt, Davis, 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
