Stewart E. Walsh, 57, of 33 Sidney Street, Bangor, died Saturday evening at a Portland hospital.

He was born in Bangor July 13, 1905, the son of James and Theresa (Phillips) Walsh.

He lived in Bangor his entire life where he was employed as a store manager for the Maine State Liquor Commission. He was financial secretary and a past grand knight of the Pine Cone Council, Knights of Columbus. He held all offices in the Maine State Council, Knights of Columbus, serving as a state deputy from 1957 to 1959.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Cecelia Conway Walsh of Bangor, one sister, Miss Mary A. Walsh of Bangor; a brother, James M. Walsh of Bangor; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Friends may call at the Driscoll Funeral Home, 27 Cedar Street.
