"Floyd LeRoy (Buck) Iverson was born on February 22, 1928 in Timmer, North Dakota, the son of Lafe and Inez (Williams) Iverson. In 1942 he and his family moved to Mandan, where he attended school. Buck began working for the Mandan Creamery. He spent one year there before being transferred to the Blue Ribbon Hatchery, where he would remain until 1952, when he entered the Army. Upon returning home from his service in Korea, Buck lived with his sisters, Verna Trauger and Darlene Hoovestol, for two years. He then worked as a farm laborer for the Laurence Thomas, George Ableseth and Darian Valloff families in North and South Dakota. He lived in Liberty Heights from 1991 to January 1997, when he moved to Elm Crest Manor in New Salem.
Floyd is survived by his sisters, Irene Wing of Mandan and Darlene Hoovestol of New Salem, and his sisters-in-law, Marion Iverson of Salem Oregon and Marion Iverson of Bismarck and Many Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers: Elmer, Raymond, Donald, Eldrad, George and Emmet, five sisters: Cleo Witkowski, Bertha Iverson, Dorothy Witkowski, Verna Trauger and Alicia Iverson and four brothers-in-law: Donald Wing, Calvin Trauger, Carl Witkowski and Glenn Hoovestol."

Floyd "Buck" Iverson, age 72, of Mandan, ND, died June 7, 2000 at Elm Crest Manor in New Salem. A memorial service was held on Monday, June 12, 2000, at the Buehler-Larson Funeral home in Mandan. Interment was at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
