Mrs. Lafe Iverson, Passed Away In Bismarck Hospital.
Mrs. Lafe Iverson, 57, Mandan, passed away at 4:50 a. m. Thursday in a Bismarck hospital where she had been hospitalized for the past three weeks. She had been in ill health for over two years.
Born to Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Williams Sept. 24, 1892, in Ledyard, Iowa, she attended schools there and also in Franklin, Minn., when she accompanied her family when they moved to that city. They later homesteaded at Shields where she was united in marriage to Mr. Iverson March 15, 1910. The couple farmed at Timmer for about 27 years and moved into Mandan to make their home in 1942. She was a member of the First Lutheran church.
Besides her widower, she leaves the following children: Mrs. Donald Wing (Irene) Mandan, Donald, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Frank Witkowski, (Cleo) Mandan; Mrs. Carl Witkowski (Dorothy) Mandan, George, at home here; Floyd, at home here; Mrs. Calvin Trauger (Verna) Fargo; and Darlene, at home here. Six children and a brother preceded her in death. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Christ Sorenson of Huron, S. D.
No funeral arrangements have been made as yet. The body is at the Kennelly funeral parlors.
