Mrs. Ole Brandon Funeral Services Held Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ole Brandon were held Monday afternoon, March 27th at the St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Leonard Thompson officiating.
Mrs. Brandon passed away March 22 at the Tri-County Home in Hatton after a lingering illness. She was 92 years of age.
Pallbearers were Jeffrey Brandon, Ronald Brandon, Selmer Monson Jr., Charles Brandon, James Brandon, and Allen Monson. Mrs. Leonard Thompson was organist and Mrs. Robert Grindeland, soloist. Interment was made in the St. John cemetery.
Marie Bye was born June 11, 1874 at Northwood, Iowa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. (Kari Troim) Karelius Bye. She moved with her parents to Newburgh township when a young girl and grew to womanhood in that community.
She was married to Ole Brandon on July 3, 1892. They farmed in Newburgh township for a few years and then moved to Washington township, Grand Forks County. Mr. Brandon died June 3, 1934. Mrs. Brandon continued to live on the farm until 5 years ago when she entered the Northwood Nursing Home. Two years ago she moved to the Tri-County Home in Hatton.
She was a member of the St. John Church and an honorary member of its ladies aid.
Survivors include four sons and one daughter, Clarence, Ernest and Arnold, all of Hatton, Lester of Larimore, Mrs. Selmer (Olga) Monson Sr. of East Grand Forks; 3 sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Helen) Oslund, Mrs E. M. (Serene) Bate, Mrs. Clarence (Mae) Gunderson all of St. Paul; one brother, Carl C. Bye of Fargo; 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; 1 sister, Mrs. Fred (Bertha) Anderson of Couer d'Alene, Idaho; 1 brother, Edward Bye; 1 grandson, Henning Brandon and 1 nephew, K. B. Bye.
Arnett Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
