Esther Stine Coxon
LITTLE RIVER – Esther Stine Coxon, 92, died Feb. 17, 1994, at Lyons District Hospital.
She was born June 1, 1901, at Rosedale, the daughter of Benjamin L. and Inez Margaret Philips Stine. A Little River resident for 80 years, she was a retired practical nurse, having worked at the Lyons District Hospital and in private practice.
She was a member of the Congregational Church, Little River, and the Order of the Eastern Star.
On Jan. 3, 1923, she married John Coxon at Little River. He died in 1967.
Survivors include: a son, Curtis D., Lubbock, Texas; a daughter, Crysta J. Chandler, Lyons; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorial graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in the Bean Memorial Cemetery, Little River, with the Rev. Bill Best presiding.
Memorials may be sent to Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River, in care of Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons.
