Greer - May 1st - (Special) - Early Saturday morning Mrs. SARAH WILLIAMS CLAYTON died at the house of her son, SAMUEL CLAYTON on Hill Street, after 24 hours illness, her death resulting from a ruptured blood vesel on the brain. Mrs. CLAYTON was a widow, her husband having preceded her to the grave by a year (?). She was born in 1849 and was therfore in the 74th year of her age. The funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Holly Springs, of which the deceased was a member. Funeral was conducted by her pastor. The interment took place in the Church Cemetery.
