Louise Hall,74, of Kensett,Arkansas passed away Sunday, May 10,2009. She was born in Wolf Bayou, Arkansas on June 1, 1934 to the late Grover C.Clayton and Ethel Clayton. She was a member of Morrow Baptist Church. Louise loved her church and was a loving Mother and Grandmother. She was loved by all who knew her.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents, her husband,Marvin Hall; two brothers, Cecil and Ervin; two sisters,Ermadean Hazelwood,and Betty Lou.
She is survived by one son, Jackie and his wife Vicky Hall of Kensett, two brothers,Amos Clayton of Kensett and J.C. Clayton of Heber Springs; one sister, Wencil Stokes of Kensett; two Grandchildren, Chanda(Jonathan)Heathscott,and Blake(Amber)Hall; six great Grandchildren, Kilee, Katilyn,Brayden,Kyle,Mattie and Grayson.
REASON FOR DEATH: Cancer
I've always said "We should have written a book...we could have gotten rich...and the world could have shared the 'Wonderful World of Louise'" Just a short trip to town with her yielded such laughter and fun! She didn't try to be funny, (Lord knows what would have happened if she had been trying!), she'd just get excited about something and say or do something hysterical.
She and Gene (my brother...her husband) were in a tornado in 1952.He got hurt badly, and from then on she was terrified of storms..(as most people would be.) Anyway...one day (long after), Louise was in the kitchen preparing potatoes for supper, and Gene was sitting on the front porch "watching the clouds."
He said she came out to see how bad the weather was, and she was holding a potato and slicing it (with slices flying everywhere). He looked behind her, and there was a trail of potato slices all the way to the kitchen! (It wasn't funny at the time...but it has been one of the MANY funnies that we all share.)
She was certainly very special and her memory will be with us always!
