Cecil Clayton,80, husband of Bernice(Tapley)Clayton, died Monday,January 5,2004 in Clinton, Arkansas. Mr.Clayton was born September 15,1923 in Wolf Bayou to the late Grover and Ethel(Sagers)Clayton. He was a self-employed rancher and logger,a member of the Arkansas Timber Producers Association,and a member of Sugar Loaf Baptist Church in Heber Springs.

He is survived by his wife,Bernice Tapley Clayton of Heber Springs;two sons, Cecil Gene (Teresa) Clayton of Rose Bud,Ar., Fred(Millie)Clayton of Russellville,AR., three brothers; Amos(Elsie)Clayton of Kensett,AR. Irvin and J.C. Clayton both of Heber Springs,AR.two sisters; Wencil Stokes and Louise(Gene)Hall both of Kensett,AR., four grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Ermadean Haywood.
