Services were held Saturday, August 14, 1976 at 3:00 P.M. in the First Baptist Church in Wheeler with Rev. David Campbell, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Wheeler Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home.
The Pallbearers were: C.B. Brotherton, Jr., Bill Hampton, Steve Hampton, Olen Maxwell, Richard Hampton, and Tommy Hyatt.
Miss Herd was a native of Denton County and had lived in Wheeler since 1921. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include one brother, H.H. Herd of Pampa, and several nieces and nephews.
