Rev. J. M. Peters of Rogers' Prairie, died last Friday morning and was buried Saturday morning in the Rogers' Prairie cemetery.
A good and useful man has passed away, whose sphere will be hard to fill. He was pastor of several churches, and under his ministry churches were upbuilt; dissensions were cast to the winds.
The Trinity River Baptist Association will greatly miss his religious influences in its councils.
He leaves a large family and many, many warm friends who mourn his demise, with whom we deeply sympathise.
Peace be unto his soul.
