Muscatine Journal, Monday, October 10, 1966 - Mrs. Mae E. Walker, 88, of Wilton, died at 11:45 a.m. Sunday at Muscatine General Hospital following a lengthy illness. Daughter of James and Melinda Dennison Morgan, she was born February 15, 1878 in Center Point, Iowa. A resident of Wilton for 14 years, she was a former resident of Rock Island.
She married Alonso J. Walker in Spokane, Washington. She was a member of the Methodist Church.Survivors: 1 son, Alonso J. Walker of Carroll, Iowa; 1 sister, Myrtle Burr of Wilton, 5 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 sister, 5 brothers.Funeral services will be held Oct. 12, 1966 at 1 p.m. at the Griffin Funeral Home in Wilton, Rev. L. G. Wilkins officiating. Interment will be at the Rose Lawn Cemetery in Moline, Illinois.
